About the position

We are the biggest on-demand delivery company in the Middle East operating within Snapp group - a group of progressive companies dominating ride-hailing and adjacent markets in Iran; we are the first superapp. Snappbox envisions to grow beyond on-demand services and unlock synergies in adjacent markets while harnessing the true potential of the biggest fleet available on any platform. We are seeking a seasoned Senior Leader to join our dynamic team as Chief Technology Officer. As a key member of our leadership team, the CTO will play a pivotal role in driving our technological vision, strategy, and execution to support the company's growth and success.


  1. Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and execution of the company's technology roadmap in alignment with overall business goals and objectives. Drive innovation and continuous improvement in technology solutions to maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace.

  2. Team Management: Manage and mentor a diverse team of software professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Provide guidance, coaching, and support to ensure team members' growth and development.

  3. Technical Expertise: Utilize hands-on experience with Java and Angular to contribute to the development and maintenance of our technology stack. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to inform decision-making and drive innovation.

  4. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other department heads, including product management, commercial, and operations, to ensure alignment and synergy across all aspects of the business.

  5. Technology and Business Partner Management: work closely with technology partners and other business partners within and beyond Snapp group to enhance the company's capabilities and drive efficiency.

  6. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Oversee quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, particularly regarding data security and privacy.

  7. Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Develop and manage the technology budget, allocating resources effectively to maximize ROI and achieve business objectives.

  8. Talent Acquisition: Lead recruitment efforts to attract top talent to the technology team, leveraging networks and industry connections to identify and onboard exceptional candidates.


  • 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in the technology ecosystem, preferably within marketplace-based ventures.

  • Some Hands-on experience working with Java and Angular, with a strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.

  • Proven track record of (indirectly) managing software teams of 40+ people for a minimum of 3 years, with a focus on building high-performing and cohesive teams.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals.

  • Experience in a similar or other top-tier company within the industry is preferred.

  • Willingness to relocate to Iran, if necessary, to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.

  • Availability to join the company within the next few months.

  • Demonstrated fluency in English, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with stakeholders across the organization.
