About the Role
As a data analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, interpreting, and analyzing data from various sources and presenting your findings in a clear and concise way. You will use your technical and statistical skills to create data models, databases, reports, and dashboards that help the business or organization make informed decisions. You will also work closely with other teams and stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide solutions. To be a successful data analyst, you should have a degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field, as well as experience with data analysis tools and programming languages.
Responsibilities:
- Create and monitor various dashboards and provide data analytics solutions to different stakeholders across the map team
- Derive actionable insights from our data services to maximize the impact of our product
- Explain trends across data sources, potential opportunities for growth or improvement, and data caveats for data analysis
- Generate data-driven hypotheses and advocate for testing best practices, contributing to accelerating our testing cycles
- Create training and documentation to ensure consistency and adoption of our data solutions and recommendations
- Collaborate, learn, share and brainstorm with the rest of the map data chapter
- Participate in shaping the dynamics and processes of the map data chapter, including our onboarding, hiring, and team goals

Technical:
- SQL Knowledge - You know your way around analytical and aggregate functions, complex joins, and window functions and are confident in wrangling all types of data in SQL.
- Statistic, Linear Algebra and Calculus Knowledge.
- Statistical Programming Languagues (Python, R) Knowledge - You are well-versed in standard data science libraries such as Pandas and NumPy but are also able to write basic Python code that is clean, well-documented, and tested.
- Experience with SQL(Postgres,ClickHouse,Hive) and No-SQL(Cassandara) Databases.
- Experience with Data Visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Plotly,...)
- Creating Dashboards and Writing Reports.
- Experience on Text Analysis. Knowledge of NLP is a plus.
- Machine Learning Basic knowledge. Advance level is a plus.
- Experience with large datasets is a plus.
- Familiar with Map Data is a plus.
- Developing Map data analysis tools is a plus.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer engineering and science, statistics, mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline.
- You have 2+ years of experience tackling similar problems academically and/or professionally and a proven history of delivering results.
